Minister HoverMinister Ashley B. Hoover is the Youth and Young Adult Minister serving at Westphalia UMC in Upper Marlboro, Maryland where the pastor is the Reverend Dr. Timothy West. Minister Hoover is a member of his home church, Hughes Memorial UMC in Washington, DC where the pastor is the Reverend Constance Smith.

Minister Hoover works as a Development Engineer for the Department of Navy in Arlington, Virginia. He is a graduate of Eleanor Roosevelt High School in Greenbelt. He received his undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering from North Carolina A&T State University and went on to receive a Master of Business Administration from Brenau University in Gainesville, Georgia. Minister Hoover is also a May 2008 graduate of Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, DC and also a candidate for ordained ministry.

Minister Hoover is excited about all that God is doing in the body of Christ. He believes that if we can just show up, we will find God already doing wonderful works. Preaching, teaching and singing to the glory of God are the least Minister Hoover can do in assisting in Kingdom building.

In addition to answering his call to ordained ministry, Minister Hoover gives back to the community through the NC A&T State University Alumni Association, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and in song with H.I.S. 4, a male quartet group started while at Hughes Memorial.

Minister Hoover is married to the former, Josie Zellers, also a May 2008 graduate of Wesley Theological Seminary.
